Analysis of Difficulties in Learning Mathematics Material for Measuring Units of Weight in Class III Elementary School Students

Abstract


This research aims to determine students' difficulties in learning mathematics and the factors that make students have difficulty learning mathematics. This research uses a qualitative approach with a qualitative descriptive research method which aims to describe students' difficulties in learning mathematics. The subjects of this research were ten students in class III at SD Negeri 104246 Jati Baru. The results of this research show that the tendency of difficulties experienced by students is conceptual difficulties, where students do not fully understand the concept of weight units, where when moving from one particular weight unit to another weight unit they do not understand whether multiplication or division .
